Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the DroneClearance web app at app.droneclearance.nl. DroneClearance is operated by Webhoes, Almelo, the Netherlands ("we", "us"). By creating an account you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and the team or company you use DroneClearance for.
What DroneClearance does
DroneClearance is the place where drone operators request their flights and the managers of the areas they fly in review them. You draw the flight area, choose the time, the pilot and the drone, and submit the request. DroneClearance checks the request against the rules of the zones the flight passes through and sends it to the area managers and the booking services (USSPs) of those zones, which decide on it.
Your responsibility as an operator
- You remain responsible for every flight you request and fly, and for complying with the law, including the EU drone regulations (Regulations (EU) 2019/945 and 2019/947), Dutch law and the rules of the zones you fly in.
- An approval in DroneClearance means that the area managers or booking services of the zones agreed to your flight. It is not a permit or exemption from an authority, and it does not replace the authorisations, insurance or registrations your flight needs.
- You fly only within the area, time and height that were approved. When your plans change, you change or cancel the request.
- The pre-check, the zones shown on the map and any advice are there to help you. Always check the conditions yourself before you fly.
Your account and team
- You give correct and complete information, including the details of your pilots, drones and operational authorisation, and keep it up to date.
- You keep your password and any two-factor codes secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your team.
- The owner of a team decides who joins it. Members you invite, or who come from a linked DroneDeck account, act on behalf of the team.
Prices and payment
- The price of a flight request, if any, is shown before you submit it. It is made up of the fees of the zones and, where it applies, DroneClearance's fee.
- A request is charged when it is approved, whether you fly it or not, and when you cancel it less than 12 hours before the start after it was approved. Rejected requests and requests cancelled in time cost nothing.
- The price stored with the request when it was checked is what you pay. We settle the charged requests per month.
Acceptable use
You use DroneClearance only for real flight requests of your own team. You do not submit false information, try to get access to data of others, disrupt the service, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
Availability
We do our best to keep DroneClearance available and working correctly, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. The status of the service is shown on droneclearance.nl/status.html. We may change or improve the service; when a change affects you significantly, we tell you in advance where we can.
Liability
DroneClearance supports your flight preparation; the decision to fly and the flight itself are yours. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage resulting from a flight, from a decision by an area manager or booking service, or from the service being unavailable. Our liability is in any case limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the damage occurred. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by asking us at the address under Contact. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Flight records we must keep by law are kept after an account is closed.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you in the web app or by email before it applies.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
